There are few places on Ibiza where you can have as much fun for
so little money as the SATURDAY 'Rastrillo' (Flea Market) in the old
San Jordi Hipodrome.
This market. which started out just a few years ago with a few car boot
stands, has become THE weekend attraction.....especially in winter.
The year round residentes of Ibiza are nothing if they are not globe-trotters,
and they have dragged, carried and shipped an incredible variety of possesions
from all over the globe to IBIZA.
So when it comes time to clean out the garage or the warehouse, one packs
it all up and off to 'The Rastrillo'.
It has become so popular that thousands of people attend this flea market.....in
fact you better go early if you want a parling place within 5 blocks of
the place And it is FREE!
It is a great place to find books for those chilly winter evenings.....you
just crank up the old fireplace and settle into your sofa for the winter
with about a dozen good books. Not to mention tools and clothing.
Not only that, but you are for sure going to run into that old friend you
havn´t seen all season.... because you were both working hard during
the summer months, and have a lot to talk about to get current with each
other.
