Invisa has new videos

All the hotels of the Invisa hotel chain have brand new videos.
The accommodations included in this chain are:
La Cala, in the centre of Santa Eulalia, this is a 3 star hotel but will be upgrading shortly to 4 stars. We already made a video almost a year ago, that is still in the video page.

Ereso: Situated in Es Cana in the municipality of Santa Eulalia, this hotel is very popular between british families.

Es Pla: Situated in the center of San Antonio, only 1 block away from the 2 largest discos in town, Eden and Es Paradis, the beach is also 1 block away. For those of you how have already been to San Antonio it is very close to the Columbus Egg.

Cala verde and Cala Blanca: Both complexes are right next to each other on the beach of Es Figueral close to the small town of San Carlos .

New client reviews

We have received many new Ibiza hotel reviews from clients.
The last one came in today for the Hotel Hawaii in the Bay of San Antonio, and received 4 out of 5 possible stars for their sea view, good food and walk way.
Another extremely positive review is for the Sol Sargamassa in the municipality of Santa Eulalia, only 3 KM from the center of town.
The clients assure they have been over 15 times in this accommodation and will be back on the 12 of June.
On the other side we have the Hotel San Remo in San Antonio, Ibiza. The client was unhappy about the room they first got, the food, the other old spanish guests, the music, the all inclusive, the road works, noise, dust, unstable sun covers, the lack of help, lack of entertainment, unhelpful reception staff and finally but not least the dead cockroach......real optimists!

Hotel Ereso video

The Hotel Ereso in Es Cana has a new video.
This 3 star accommodation is part of the Invisa hotel chain, considered as one of the best chains in the island and is situated in the Town of Es Cana in the municipality of Santa Eulalia del Rio, Ibiza.

They are specially popular between familys with young children, the Ereso hotel has been recently renovated and obtained the "Q" for their tourist Quality.
The video has a very high quality with many aerial views and motion pictures. This is only the first of a series of movies from the Invisa hotel chain to come out.

New maps for Ibiza town and Playa den Bossa

The new generation of maps are already in all the pages of hotels, hostels and apartments in Ibiza town and Playa D'en Bossa.
For those of you how did not read our first blog about our new maps,
we use the same Google Maps as before but in the comment window of the hotel we have added a new feature.
This feature consists of a how to get here, with 3 links to the possible entry points to Ibiza, the airport, the harbour of Ibiza Town and the harbour of San Antonio.
If you click on any of the links you get a map with the best route to get to your accommodation, with the driving indications on the left hand side and the map on the right hand side.
You can also get the inverse directions or even change the starting and arrival point completely.

As you know were you are going now, the best way to go around the island is with a rented car, in our car rental section we have a total of 3 companies you can choose from.

Take a virtual tour of the Argos Hotel

Now you can take a 360 virtual panoramic tour of Hotel Argos in the Beach of Talamanca in Ibiza Town.
The Argos is a 4 star accommodation, right on the beach, its only 100 meters away from the spectacular sport harbour, its also with in walking distance of 2 of the most famous clubs in Ibiza. The Pacha and El Divino Disco.

Rural Hotel Sa Talaia has installed Wi-Fi

The 4 star Rural Hotel Sa Talaia in the area of San Antonio has installed Wi-fi (wireless internet). This service is available in the entire hotel including the rooms.
The old Finca was the personal residence of Abel Matutes, the richest man on the island of Ibiza. He owns the Fiesta Hotel group, the CAM Bank and all the ferry company that go to Ibiza except one (Iscomar).
You can probably imagine that this Rural hotel or Agroturismo (as they are called in Spain) has been restored with a lot of love and a substantial economical investment.
Jacuzzi, tennis courts, air conditioning and TV with DVD are only a few of the things this accommodation has to offer.

Take a virtual tour of the Hostal Talamanca

Now you can take a virtual tour of the Hostal Talamanca in the beach with the same name.
This beach is situated right next to the Sport Harbour of Ibiza Town, the legendary Pacha disco is with in walking distance from this accommodation, the disco El Divino is also with in walking distance.
The Hostal Talamanca is simple but it was every thing you really need, except maybe a pool but therefore you have the beautiful beach right in front of you.

We have several new client comments for you.
The first of come from Scotland and is for the Club Playa den Bossa ? Ibiza. The client says that ?it?s the best Hotel she ever stayed in, excellent service and extremely welcoming?.
This is the perfect accommodation for you people how like to party, it is right across the street form the Space Disco and only one block away from the Bora Bora Beach bar.

Our next comment come from wales and is for the Sol Bay in the Bay of San Antonio ? Ibiza. These apartments are part of the biggest hotel chain in the island, the Grupo Playa Sol.
She goes on to say that the apartments are OK but they are noisy and she does not recommend then for families with children, it is also hard to get a snack in this accommodation and gives them 2 stars out of 5 possible.

The last client review is for the Sanfora Hotel also in the bay of San Antonio ? Ibiza.
The client says that they are very reasonably priced but basic. There are good restaurants with in walking distance. He also says it is in walking distance of the West End but far enough not to hear any thing.

We have added virtual reality to the Mare Nostrum Hotel in Playa den Bossa.
This is part of the Grupo Playa Sol chain and is one of the biggest hotels in the island, with 500 rooms.
It is situated in second sea line only 4 to 5 blocks away from the popular Bora Bora Beach bar and about 6 blocks from the Space disco.
The clientele is mixed, with every thing from clubbers to families coexisting peacefully.

The 360º virtual reality tour consists of 10 inter connected modules. The bedroom, bathroom, balcony, reception, pool, Kids Park, restaurant, out side and the football court.
There are 4 links at the bottom to quickly access 4 of the main areas.

In the views of the balcony there were 2 construction cranes, which we took out because they are only temporal and soon they will not be there.

Blau Park has installed Wi-Fi

The Apart hotel Blau Park in San Antonio has installed Wi-fi (wireless internet) in the entire hotel, including the common areas and the rooms.
This is probably the best 4 star accommodation in San Antonio, situated right next to the legendary Café del Mar (it also enjoys the same great sun set).
It is with in walking distance of the West End (the bars and party street) but far enough that the noise does not disturb your sleep.
3 blocks away from the West End you will find the 2 Macro discos San Antonio has to offer: Eden and Es Paradis.
Their web page also has a 360 panoramic virtual reality page, if have been following our blog you will know we are working on adding this technology to all the hotels and apartments we represent.
They also have some excellent client reviews, the clients recommend the Blau Park over all other hotels in Town and so do we.

Take a virtual tour of the Hotel Maritimo

We have added virtual reality to the Hotel Maritimo in Figueretas.
There is a new feature compared with our first 360 panorama of the Parot apartments.
This time we have a link directly to the 4 main areas of the hotel, this way you have a quick access to the entire hotel.
There is a total of 10 connected modules, and in each one you can zoom in, zoom out, and move the viewer into all directions.
This hotel also has a video and combined with the client comments and map is a pretty good example of what we plan to do in all the accommodations we represent in Ibiza.

The beach was missed out on purpose because they were caring out a cleaning job, also underwater and there were huge red bags filled with garbage, anyway we thought this was not representative of what the beach looks like 99,9 % of the time. How ever you can see the beach in all detail in the video.

Our videos have been watched 40,000 times.
We started with the production of videos in January of 2007 and since then we have added a total of 25 videos wish can be seen in Youtube and other big video portals.
Our most popular video was the one of the Aguas Blancas Beach,(it has been seen 4,300 times) our most recent video is 2 months old and is the second movie of the Argos Hotel in Talamanca.

We have bought new equipment and as soon as the season starts we will be producing many more films. These films will be of a much higher quality so stay tuned.

Like we mentioned in our last blog we will combine the videos with Virtual reality and the Maritimo Hotel in Figueretas is almost finished.

Virtual Reality for Hotels in Ibiza

Our goal has always been to give our clients the most precise information of hotels in Ibiza so that you know what you are really getting for your money.
Were we will play an impartial roll and only show you what is there.
With this philosophy in mind we started last year with the videos of hotels in Ibiza.
Even if the videos are a great tool the client sees what we want to show them and not what they want to see.
The only way to show on a web page exactly what the accommodation looks like is virtual reality and that is exactly what we are staring to do.
We started with the Apartments Parot in Santa Eulalia and we hope to do many more very soon.

This does not mean that we will stop making videos, in fact we have just purchased new equipment to improve the quality of our videos.
We believe that virtual realty and videos complement each other very well. As a 360 panoramic view can not really transmit the personality of a accommodation like a video can.
A video like we said before will just show you what we want to show you and not what you want to see.

We will keep you informed as we add this feature to other hotels and apartments.

New generation of maps

We have created a new generation of maps for the hotels.
The 2 first hotels that already have this technology is the Tres Carbelas in Playa den Bossa and the 4 star Blau Park hotel in San Antonio.
It consists of a Google map like we always had but know in the window we have the name of the accommodation and then we have a how to get here section with three links covering all the possible entry points of the island: The airport, the harbour of Ibiza town and the harbour of San Antonio.
Once you click on the link you get a page with the exact trail to follow to get from any of these 3 points to the hotel, on the left hand side you find the instructions to follow to drive yourself.
On the top left hand side you will also find a button to get the inverse direction to find your way back to the airport of harbour.

Beneath you will find a rent a car link that brings you to our car rental page were you can make your booking with a system that is similar to the one used to make your booking for the hotels.
Witch we thought would be useful now that you know how your way around the island.

Problems of Eastern

Many hotels in Ibiza will not open their doors in Eastern of this year.
The reason is that eastern is very early this year, end of March. If a accommodation opens they have that one week were they will have a good occupancy but then they will have to wait till the beginning of May till the tourist season starts again almost with out customers and with the high costs of personal.
This idea has scared many hotels and apartments that prefer to wait till May to open their doors.
A few others have gone around this problem in what I consider the best solution, they open in eastern and then close after it is over and re open on the first of May.

This was not a problem last year since ?La Semana Santa? (Local name for eastern) was April and the time the hotels had to stay open with out customers was much lower.

Spanish reservation forms

We have continued with translating our reservation form to Spanish.
The latest accommodations that have been translated is the 3 star Hotel La Cala in the centre of the town of Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. La Cala is looking forward to be upgraded shortly to 4 stars.
The only thing they are missing right now to achieve this status is a gym.
The service and food in La Cala are out outstanding, if you read the client reviews you will see we are not the only ones that think so.

Then we have the apartments el Pinar in the spectacular beach of Cala LLonga, about 6 kilometres from the town of Santa Eulalia but still in the towns municipality.
The chain La Sirena runs these apartments, famous for a very familiar and friendly atmosphere.

Last but not least we have the Hotel Miami in Es Cana, about 4 kilometres from Santa Eulalia.
This accommodation is especially family friendly, with a kids club, play ground, sport court, kids pool and much more.

New: Hotel Cala Gracio

We have added yet another accommodation to our portal.
It?s the Fiesta Hotel Cala Gracio in the cove with the same name right next to the Tanit and only 1 Km from the centre of San Antonio.
Far enough from the clubs and bars to have a quiet holiday and sleep well but close enough to walk to the Legendary Café del Mar, the West End or the 2 big discos in San Antonio, Eden and Es Paradis.

The hotel Cala Gracio also offers great Mediterranean gardens that harmonize with the natural surrounding.
A 24 hour reception in case you have a late flight or you want to party till late, if you want explore other parts of the island they also have a car rental service.
However if you want to come in June, July or August we recommend you make your car rental reservation well in advance.

We proudly added the 3 star Hotel Tanit in San Antonio Ibiza.
It is part of the Fiesta Hotel group and is considered as a especially family friendly accommodation and has many facilities for Kids.

Lets get back to the accommodation, Tanit is the goddess of Ibiza and of fertility, and although Spain has the lowest birth rate in the world, the island has the highest birth rate in Europe.
It's situated in Cala Gracio witch is a relatively un build beach but at the same time it is only 1 Km from the centre of San Antonio.
The rooms have a balcony or terrace with table and chairs , satellite TV, air conditioning, hairdryer and more.

Ibiza is mostly famous for their incredible disco, most of the people that come to the island want to go clubbing at least once in their holiday.
For this reason we created a new category were we listed the 10 best party accommodations in Ibiza. These hotels and apartments are not recommended for the people how only want to party a little bit and sleep a lot. These are crazy party Meccas, clubbing temples, they all have a disco right next to them or have a club in the same complex.

We have listed them 1 to 10, the closer they are to 1 the crazier the party and on each accommodation you will find a small description on why they have that position.

We have several new client comments.
One of them is for the 5 star Apart-hotel Blau Park in Es calo des Moro San Antonio.
The review comes from England, the client stayed at this accommodation with his girl friend.
He describes it as clean with spacious rooms, excellent food, clean pool and with friendly staff and goes on to recommend Blau Park to any body.
He gives them a rating of 5 stars out of 5 possible stars.

Our next review is for the Villas del sol Apartments in the Siesta area of Santa Eulalia.
They describe is as fairly basic but it has every thing you need for an amazing family holiday.
The staff made them feel welcome and gave them 100% every day, they also say that the value for money was great and finally they share with us that they have been there several times.

Best hotel chain in Ibiza 2007

We wanted to give out prices to the best hotel chain in Ibiza for 2007.
The most impartial and fair way to find the best chain is to let the clients vote and we check the client reviews of our clients.
The highest possible score is 5 stars, the lowest possible score is 1 star. The scores are based on the average score of all their hotels.
And the winner is.........(drums please!!)

Inter Tur!! With the perfect score of 5 stars, the hotels that are part of this chain are the hotel Hawaii in the bay of San Antonio and Miami en Es cana.

With an average score of 4.58 stars Invisa came in second. The hotels that form part of this chain are La Cala in the centre of Santa Eulalia, Club Cala Blanca and Club Cala Verde in the amazing beach of Es figueral, Es Pla in San Antonio and Ereso in Es Cana.

La Sirena hotel chain came in third with an average score of 4.38 stars. Their star hotel being the 4 star Blau Park hotel in San Antonio, they also own El Pinar apartments, Los Angeles and La Sirena.

Other chains that took part in this contest were: Fiesta Hotel Group, Sirenis, Jet apartment complex and the Grupo Playa Sol.

Club and hotel Don Toni are available

We have finished the web pages for the hotel and the Club Don Toni in Playa D'en Bossa, Ibiza, Spain.
Both are run by the Fiesta Hotel group and they are both 3 star accommotions. The main difference between a club and a hotel is that a club has more activities.
Both have a mixed clientele and enjoy a great location right on the beach, 4 Km away from the centre of Ibiza Town, 150 meters from the Space disco and about 200 meters away form the legendary Bora Bora Beach bar.

The guests can also enjoy the Club Fiesta Sport witch is one of the biggest hotel sport centres in Europe. The rooms have a terrace and at least a side sea view.
Of course on the beach you will find and almost endless number of activities.

The Best hotels in Ibiza 2007

As we are almost at the end of the year we checked all our client comments to see witch hotels the clients voted as the best.
The rules are simple the hotel that has 2 or more reviews with the highest score wins. The results were very surprising as there are 10 hotels that have the maximum possible score, 5 out of 5 stars.

The Blau Park in San Antonio, with excellent sun set views and a familiar atmosphere.
The Caribe in Es Cana, perfect for British families.
The Fenicia Prestige in Santa Eulalia, so far it's the best 5 star hotel in Ibiza. We will see after the Ibiza Granhotel is finished if it stays that way.
Hawaii in the bay of San Antonio.
Gran Sol also in San Antonio.
La Cala in Santa Eulalia, witch right know is still 3 stars but will upgrade very soon to 4 stars.
Milord with a privileged location in the Bay of San Antonio, offers their guests an amazing sun set.
Apartments Parot in Santa Eulalia, completely renovated with allot of style.
Roca Mar the best 2 star hotels in the island, with great views of the old town and the sport harbour.
Sargamassa Palace in Santa Eulalia, with a modern design and amazing suites they will make your holidays unforgettable.

Club and Hotel Don Toni soon available

We have just been informed by the Fiesta Hotel Group that they want us to add 2 new hotels to our website.
The Hotel Don Toni located in the Playa d'en Bossa beach, Ibiza, Spain and the club Don Toni that is situated in the same location.
The difference between all the clubs like the club Bahamas, club Palm Beach and the hotels is that a club has more activities and entertainment.
Both complexes have a little over 300 rooms, normally we have a problem to fill the demand of rooms in this area in the high season (July and August), with these 2 new hotels we hope can make many more happy customers.
The web pages are in full production and by the end of next week both of them should be done, however as soon as we have finished one of them we will let you know.

There are many new hotels to look forward to, we will add about 10 new hotels between know and the eastern week, when the season starts.

Algarb's new web page

The hotel Algarb in Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza, Spain has changed owner, from the Fiesta Hotel Group to the Grupo Playa Sol, as you might already know from a previous blog we did about this.
We used this chance to redo their web page completely, we are very proud of the result.
The web page has a small flash animation on the top of the site witch shows some of the pictures you can see with more time in the Photo page.
The site has been translated to Spanish, German and to Italian. The prices and availability for 2008 have been updated. The site also enjoys a very extensive client review section.

The down side is that the photos are still the same ones, which we think they will redo soon and the video option is not available any more.

Video of Call LLuc

We have a video for the Rural Hotel Can LLuc , this is the first video of an agroturismo we have.
Can LLuc is situated in the area of San Rafael, right in the middle between Ibiza town and San Antonio. Actually it's about 2 km from Privilege (the worlds largest disco, with capacity for 15,000 people) and Amnesia another large club in the island.
However they seem worlds apart, Can LLuc could hardly be quitter and peace fuller.


It's basically an old Ibecencan Finca renovated with taste and all the luxuries you could possibly ask for. Satellite TV, mini bar, some of the rooms have a Jacuzzi and the others have a hydro massage column.
The room?s start at 225 Euros for the smallest room in low season to 450 Euros for the Superior in high season, this price includes bicycles so that you can explore the surrounding area.

Tres Torres Prices 2008

We have the prices and availability for 2008 for the four star Hotel Tres Torres in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza, Spain.
This hotel is situated in the harbour of Santa Eulalia and enjoys spectacular front line sea views, the rooms are decorated in a Mediterranean style, the dominant colours are white and blue.
They are also famuse because they have almost every night live music. They are 300 meters from the beach of Santa Eulalia. Wellness treatments are also available.

For those searching a more active holiday they offer skin diving courses and if you like mountain biking you have "Can Dani" (one of the best mountain bike shop and clubs of the island) only one block away.
Also only one block away from this hotel you will find a alternative medicine centre called "Estar", the islands best wine store "Enotecum", a gym, the best ding shop in the Balearic islands called "Ibiza Diving" and endless water sports such as sailing, wind surfing...and many more.

Blau Park prices 2008

We have the prices for 2008 for the 4 star Hotel Blau park in San Antonio, Ibiza. Which is probably the best hotel in town.
It's part of the La Sirena Hotel chain, that also owns El Pinar Apartments, La Sirena Apartments and Los Angeles Apartments, they also own all the souvenir shops called La Sirena and in Santa Eulalia all the souvenirs called Art which you will see many of in your holidays in Ibiza.
But lets get back to this excellent accommodation. It has exactly the same sun set as the world famous "Cafe Del Mar", the little beach of Es Calo des Moro right in front, it's walking distance to the clubs and the West End but still far enouph not to have any noise, Parking (very important in summer).
Their web page also has a virtual tour of the hotel and a client comments page with a perfect score 5 stars out of 5.
I could talk for hours about the Blau Park but all I'm going to say is that if I would have to recommend a hotel in San Antonio this is the one I would recommend.

New: Anfora Playa, Es Cana

We have a new hotel, The Anfora Playa in the heart of Es Cana, Ibiza (completely renovated in 2006).
The Hotel has 108 Bedrooms 9 of them are for Individual use, 2 swimming pools, 24 hour reception and is disable friendly.


There are free diving lesson in the pool twice a week, massages by the pool, games zone with a selection of coin-operated videogames and even a water polo competition.

On their page you will also find several client comments, which describe it as a well-located family friendly hotel with good staff.

Open all year

Like every year we have made a page of all the hotels and apartments that are open all year.
For many people this sounds a bit strange because were there from it's completely normal that a hotel is open all year. In Ibiza it's different, very different.

The tourist season in Ibiza starts with the Eastern Week (Semana Santa) and then the hotel close again till the 1st of May, the seasons high point is August and then drops of till the 31st of October.

After this date the number of tourist drops drastically, from over 200 hotels and apartments that are open in summer only 19 are open all year.
So that you don't have to go though all of them to see which one are open we already show you the ones that are open.
The site is called "Open All Year" this year we have added a google map so that you know exactly were these hotels are and what the area looks like.

Swimming might be reserved for the brave ones and most of the discos are closed but there are many other activities, like horse back riding, hiking, dancing salsa and many more.

Sirenis Seaview: Prices 2008

The Sirenis Seaview in the bay of San Antonio has the prices and availability for 2008. This means that from today on you can make your reservations.
The hotel is 3 km from the centre of town and with 383 Studios and 83 apartments (10 of them are Disabled friendly) is one of the largest on the North side of Ibiza. It's almost like a small village by it self.
With it's extensive entertainment program you will hardly want to leave the resort.


This resort is perfect for families but might be a bit to far from the centre of San Antonio for the clubbers, although there is a excellent bus connection between the resort and town.

Can Atzaro is back

The 4 star Rural hotel Can Atzaro in the area of Santa Eulalia, Ibiza, Spain is available again on our page, after over one year were this hotel was not available on our site.
This time we made their web page completely new with many new photos and much more information.

Can Atzaro is one of the best if not the best Rural Hotel in Ibiza, it combines a typical Ibicencan Finca with asian decoration, 43 meter lap pool, wedding and event pavilion with 250 m2, Asian spa and much more.
This makes it very popular, meaning if you want to stay here make your reservation well in advance and even then it might be hard to find the room you want in the dates you want.

Algarb changes owners

The hotel Algarb situated in Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza, Spain what was part of the Fiesta Hotel Group has just changed hands and is know part of the Grupo Playa Sol hotel chain.
The Grupo Playa Sol is already the largest accommodation chain in the island by far, with over 50 hotels and apartments and is growing at incredible speed. In 2007 they bought the Green Oasis chain with 2 four star hotels, El Corso in the harbour of Ibiza Town and The Nautilus in San Antonio.

For this reason we will be temporarily unable to take reservation for the Algarb but in 1 to 2 weeks all the changes will have been made so that you can enjoy again one of the most popular hotels on the island of Ibiza.

Hotel Caribe Video

It's a pleasure to present the video of the Hotel Caribe in Es Cana, Ibiza.
This is a great family hotel, with a outstanding kids club. We don't recomend it to people how don't like children.
It has been recently renovated, the public is 90 % british.
Situated at about 200 meters from the beach and 100 meters from the bus stop.

The environmental commission of the city council of San Antonio in Ibiza, gave the prize for the best entrance to the Hotel Orosol, situated in front of the football field of San Antonio.
The prize consists of a ceramic plate designed by Carlos Icardi and 600 Euros, which will be awarded next Thursday at 12:00 AM in front of the hotel Orosol.
This prize tries to reward the effort of the neighbours of San Antonio to improve the image of the city and is timed to coincide with world environment day.

These hotels are not on any beach but their special style, luxury, privacy and closeness to nature attract a growing number of tourists.

Arrested for not paying the hotel bill

A 40 year old German woman, Bettina M.E. was arrested last week end by the Guardia Civil of Ibiza Town, for not paying the bill of the hotel were she stayed, according to information from the Guardia Civil.

Another popular scam in Ibiza is to book a hotel through a inter-net portal like and pay the entire amount in advance 1 or 2 days before arrival with stolen credit card information.
By the time the hotelier noticed that the credit card information is stolen the thief is long gone.
This is the reason by hoteliers like to charge the largest part of their bill when the customer is at the hotel.

Hoteliers believe the season is only 2,5 months long

Several agents of the Patronal Hotelera explained yesterday in the presentation of their promotional magazine that, the season is shortening down to 2 and a half months instead of getting longer, as most businessmen in Ibiza would like.

They also said that a couple of years ago the productive season was 6 months long.
The rise in the number of tourist in low season can be explained by the Inserso (Spanish retired people) tourism.

The also complained about the descent of the average number of nights a tourists stays in Ibiza, which is down to 4 nights. Antonio Palau explained that a more frequent change of clients in the rooms pushes up the cleaning and material expenses of the hotel.

The Hoteliers say that the ideal season would be from the 1st of April till the 31st of October, like it was a couple of years ago.
They also say that the government should promote the cheap flight to Ibiza in low season and during the week in the summer months.
