Rural Hotel Sa Talaia has installed Wi-Fi

The 4 star Rural Hotel Sa Talaia in the area of San Antonio has installed Wi-fi (wireless internet). This service is available in the entire hotel including the rooms.
The old Finca was the personal residence of Abel Matutes, the richest man on the island of Ibiza. He owns the Fiesta Hotel group, the CAM Bank and all the ferry company that go to Ibiza except one (Iscomar).
You can probably imagine that this Rural hotel or Agroturismo (as they are called in Spain) has been restored with a lot of love and a substantial economical investment.
Jacuzzi, tennis courts, air conditioning and TV with DVD are only a few of the things this accommodation has to offer.

Accommodations with Wi-fi (wireless internet) in Ibiza

We have many clients in the last months that have asked us witch hotels have Wi-fi (wireless internet).
So we have created a new accommodation category with the hotels that have this technology in their establishments.
We found 20 of them witch in only a 12,5 % of our hotels, but not all of them have the same conditions, some have wi-fi in the entire hotel others have it in the reception and conference room but not in the rooms. Some only have it in 50% of the rooms.
Most of the accommodations don't charge their customers for this service but others like the Hotel Los Molinos in Figueretas charge their clients 12 Euros a day.
We have detailed information of up to what point each of them have embraced this relatively new technology for Ibiza.

Less than 5% of the hotels offer Internet conection

The number of Hotels in Ibiza that offer internet connection to their clients is around 4 to 5 % of the total number of accommodations.
These figures are within the national average, according to information from the second edition of the National Workshop of New Technologies for the Hotel sector, that will take place in Palma the 27th of April.

Many hotels in Ibiza are now using Internet kiosks, mainly because they offer a good protection against vandalism and a great technical support.
The pioneer internet kiosks company in Ibiza is Inter-Sat Kiosks.

Wireless internet is reaching the island very slowly, only a couple hotel like Ses Figures in the Talamanca Beach offer this service.
