by Gisèle Freund (1908-2000) French photographer born in Germany. Freund was one of Europe's most prominent photographers, pioneer in the use of colour photography. She took pictures of famous politicians and artists, aswell as the cities where she lived, and she specialized in conveying the attitude of her subjects. The entrance is free and the visiting times are from Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10.30 to 1.30 p.m. |

| Santa Gertrudis celebrates their Patron Saint in spite of the rain. In spite of heavy rain the citizens of Santa Gertrudis celebrated thier patron Saint yesterday with a procession led by president of the Consell Insular, Pere Palau and the mayor of Santa Euallia, Vicente Guasch, The parade was headed by the band of drums and brass of Santa Eualalia, who didn´t wear their normal uniforms, and in the evening the musical group ' Sabor Latino' serenaded the public..and closed the fiesta with a display of fireworks. |
