Treasure at a depth of 78 meters

Last Friday a lead box and a anfora were recovered from a wreck that is situated close to Formentera at a depth of 78 Meters.
They say that there are still hundreds of anfora down there and their intention is to donate them to the future consell de Formentera.

The arqueologists Joan Ramon and Marcus Hermans directed last Friday a rescue operation to recover from the ocean floor some of the treasures hidden in a wreck from the end of the 3rd century or beginning of the 4th, what had been found last year at a depth of 78 meters.
Both of them together with some GEAS forces and the Conseller de Patrimonio on the boat (el Bontigall) equipped with the latest technology and property of a couple of sea lovers.
The result was a lead box, but its function is still not clear and half a anfora that conserves the neck what will make it easy to date it.
Inside the wreck and around the wreck there are still hundreds on anforas that are partially covered by sand.
