Easter procession in Ibiza

The processions will be celebrated in Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia and San Antonio, whereas in San Jose the religious acts are limited to the mass of the Lords Dinner, the 'Oficio de la Passion' and the 'Vigilia Pascual'.

The acts that are traditionally tied to Easter will take place on Thursday and Friday in all the municipalities of Ibiza.
As in most years, year the acts that congregate the most people are the ones celebrated in Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia, but smaller municipalities also celebrate Eastern but in a less spectacular way.

The Sacred Cross will be carried up to the Old Town of Ibiza at 9:00 AM on Friday.
The procession will start at 9:00 PM, where hundreds of people dressed in the traditional Eastern Costume will slowly walk down the streets of the Old Town till they reach Sant Elmo well into the night.

In Santa Eulalia the procession will start on Thursday at 9:00 PM in the church on the San Jaime Street and finish on the top of Puig de Missa, around midnight.

In San Antonio the Easter acts will begin on Thursday at 6:00 PM with the Lords Diner Mass and on Friday at 9:30 AM the Via Crucis will take place followed at 6:00 PM by the 'Passion of Jesus'
