Adopt a pet in Ibiza with D.U.O

D.U.O stands for the Spanish sentence ?Danos Una Oportunidad? which means ?Give us a chance?.

Giving a chance to abandoned dogs and cats is what they have been doing since 1990, when 2 German veterinarians came to Ibiza.

By that time all the homeless cats and dogs were brought to a compound, and if nobody picked them up they were killed... no matter the age, pedigree or physical condition of the animal, to put a end to this, a hand full of Germans and Dutch volunteers created D.U.O.

Since then, D.U.O has become very popular, not just in Ibiza but also in Germany were several celebrities have shown their support.
Many people now come for holidays to Ibiza and go back to their home country with a new friend.

However there are 600 to 700 dogs and several hundred cats in the hands of D.U.O. that are still looking for a new home.

Adopting an animal is not the only way you can help, these animals need food, medicine and so on.
