Sant Antonio will repeat this summer the crafts workshps

This activity will take place two days a week from six in the afternoon to ten at night in sa Era d´en Manya . The City council looks for a place to mount an agricultural product market.

The Association of Pageses i Des Mon Rural (farmers and the rural world) of Ibiza and Formentera, assigned to the Agriculture Cooperative of Sant Antoni, will be in charge this year of making the popular crafts workshops, that will be carried out at the sight of the public.

Workshops of these characteristics already took place last year by the association of Es Retorn and were a considerably successful. Reason why it is repeated this year, extending the dates and schedules. The days in which they will work have still not been determined, although it's probable that its on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from beginning of June till the end of September, from six in the afternoon to ten at night.

The association will contribute with specialized craftsmen, with the purpose of teaching how articles like a cane basket, ibicenco shoes or labradop of castañuelas are obtained, among other traditional crafts native of ibiza.

Formentera prepares parking areas for 650 vehicles for this summer

Es Pujols, Sant Ferran and La Mola will create for this summer a series of parkings for cars and motorcycles.

The City council of Formentera has reached agreements with several owners to establish a series of parking lots during the summer months in Es Pujols, Sant Ferran and the Pillar of La Mola. In the first town, they have already begun and it will have a capacity of 400 cars, it's situated behind the Apartments Gastavi. In Sant Ferran, the parkings will be in the entrance of Es Pujols, with parking for around 150 vehicles. Finally, in La Mola, where there already is a serious preoccupation caused by the lack of space due to the important increase of the residential area, the City council has rented a lot of land next to the light house, with a capacity for a hundred cars, 5 buses and an important number of motorcycles.
