Ibiza celebrates "El día de la Tierra"
From 11 in the morning to the 9 at night there will be live performances, work shops of environmental character, exhibitions and several activities.
Today, from the 11 in the morning to the 21 hours, the fifteenth edition of the Day of the Earth in Ibiza will be celebrated in the Plaça of the Parc de Ibiza town, that as in previous years it has been organized by the ecological group Amics of the Terra and GEN and the musician Jon Michell.
The Day of the Earth, declared by the United Nations as day of vindication and global action, focused to environmental questions, counts its' third year with more collaborators than ever. More than 120 volunteers, musicians and entertainers they will offer childrens' work shops, activities, live music and varied enterainment. The organizers, who coordinate the diverse activities, have invited all the associations related to the defense of the enviroment. The confirmed t participators: the Deixalles Foundation, the Novolemautopista Platform, the Association of Permacultura, the Association of Ecological Agriculture, Verde-Ecologic Small house, Ecodisseny, Rodamón and some craftsmen who work in the island with natural materials. Throughout the day there will be activities for children, exhibitions and the council of enviromnetal care of the Island Government will install a` Solar caravan ´.
