Ibiza : Ibifor plans another pay-parking in Ses Salines

The representative of the company thinks that with the new parking places there will be enoughh places for all the vehicles that go to the beach of Ses Salinas in Ibiza, even in July and August.

The Ibifor company, owner of large land extensions in Ses Salines, has asked for permission to create new pay-parking places with a capacity of 260 cars, like the ones that are there since last year.

The representative of the company, Joan Cardona, indicated yesterday that last year there were problems of parking in ses Salines, specially during the months of July and August. Consequently, many vehicles must park in the borders of the highway and in the roundhouse, sometimes the crane takes them away and they are forced to pay a fine.

On the other hand, the representative of Ibifor assures that the parking, that was opend last year had asled for permission since 1999, last year it "was very well accepted" by the users of the beach of ses Salines, although they had to pay a price for the parking right. "They understand that they park in the shade, and have their vehicles watched here, and pay three euros for the entire day.

Whereas in the streets of Ibiza they must pay much more, in the sun or in the shade ".

Different prices for the parking.
Ibifor charges three euros a day for cars and two euros for motorcycles. The one of the competition is more expensive: five euros a day for cars and two euros for motorcycles. Both parkings will continue working this year with the same prices as in 2005. During the winter both parkings are open for free.
