New Baleària Ferry connects Sant Antonio ( Ibiza ) and Barcelona
Ferry ` Sonia´of Baleària began operating friday 14 of April between Barcelona and Sant Antonio ( Ibiza ). It's a new ship that covers the line between both cities in less than eight hours. The new ship of Balearia has a capacity for 750 passengers, who may travel in armchairs, or in one of the 75 ` Sirena´ or ` Neptuno´ 75 accommodations, with complete bathrooms.
At the moment, ` Sonia´ will carry out six weekly journeys each way and, from the 21st of July and throughout the summer, the ship will make a daily trip both ways. It will leave from the port of Sant Antoni every day at 13.30 hours and will arrive at Barcelona at 21,30. Leaving Barcelona at 23.30 and will arrive at the port of Sant Antoni at 7,30.
Among the facilities on board are a buffet style restaurant, a cafeteria and a bar. The facilities of the ship are also adapted for disabled. The new ship has 111 meters of length. In addition to the automobiles and passengers, it can transport up to 600 linear meters of trucks and trailers.
