The Ibiza airport will operate 790 flights in Easter
The days with more aerial traffic in Ibiza will be the 12 and the 17 of April, during which there will be 82 and 86 movements, respectively The airports of Balears have predicted to operate 6,447 flights during this Easter, from Friday 7 of April to Monday 17.
According to it informed Spanish Airports and Navegacion Aerea yesterday (AENA), the airport of Menorca has programmed 586 operations during the Easter, whereas the one of Ibiza has predicted 790 flights. 5.071 of the movements will correspond to Sant Joan, in Palma. In Ibiza, the days in which are planned more operations are the 12 and the 17 of April, in that 82 and 86 movements will take place. Los days in which the airport of Palma will register a greater traffic will be the 8 of April, day in that is programmed 531 operations, followed of the days 15 and 16, in which they are predicted, respectively, 522 and 532 flights. In the case of Menorca, the days in which the airport will register a greater traffic will be the 13 and the 17 of April, days in which are programmed, respectively, 64 and 70 flights. In agreement with the information facilitated by AENA, the number of landings and takeoffs it is put under continuous variations due to the final adjustments that the airline companies make in the programmings of flights based on the demand. The three terminals of the archipelago will welcome the 11.5 percent of the total of flights anticipated in the main Spanish airports for these days, whose sum ascends to almost 56,000, which supposes 400 operations more than in the same vacacional period of the last year. AENA attributed this increase in that the Easter is in April, month in which the number of daily landings and takeoffs is more elevated due to the beginning of the summer season. During these days, the airports with greater incidence will start up programs of reinforcement of the services.
