In Ibiza 50% of the workers are used for work at home, waiters or employees

According to it emphasized conseller, in 2005 were created in Balearic 21,968 new jobs, of which 11,591 were occupied by women and 10,377 by men, locating the occupied feminine population in the Independent Community in 178.751 women. The leadership which they exert the women on the growth of the occupation in Ibiza is not new, already that in last the five years has created in the islands 52,179 jobs, of as 63% (32.873) were occupied by women, indicated Huguet. "We are very proud of the important role that the woman in the labor market of the islands plays", she indicated Huguet, after recognizing that most of positions that occupy indeed best the most qualified ones are remunerated nor. As it indicated to the assistant director of the Training center and Functions of conselleria, Antonia Puigròs, "elevated rate" of feminine occupation obeys to the "fort weight" that has the sector services in Balears in relation to the rest of autonomies. Whereas in the set of the State 23.7% of the feminine use are concentrated in restoration, cleaning and commerce, in Balears it reaches 30%. In the island of Ibiza, the positions of direction held by women (7.5% of the total of the occupied feminine population) are two points over the state average (5,5%). Nevertheless, the technical positions held by women (qualification elevated without arriving at direction) win 10% in Balears, as opposed to 16% of Spain. Unemployment continues affecting more women (55% of the total of vacated population) who to men (45%) in the islands. Feminine unemployment experienced a slight increase (of 0.2%) in 2005, as opposed to the reduction of 5.6% of masculine unemployment.
