Ibiza will have a festival of international cinema in 2007
The promoters try to attract to the island of Ibiza well-known European actors and of Hollywood and expects the price ofering in the months of May and June. "We want to involve all the island and that is a celebration for every one".
A group of promoters tries to organize a international festival of cinema of character in Ibiza as of the next year, according to confirmed one of them, Xavier Benlloch, person in charge of the producer of Naturetoons animation yesterday. The festival would be celebrated in the previous months to the tourist season, between May and June - just after the one of Cannes- and the organizers hope to attract to the island of Ibiza well-known actors of Hollywood, European and Spanish. "first thing that worried him was - Benlloch- explained is of the possibility of bringing actors and films. We have an office in Los Angeles, because we have worked there several years, with good contacts. We have talked several well-known actors and it has seemed they liked the idea, although we have still not closed the names. The promoters also have elaborated a complete report on the cinemas of the island and other rooms that can lodge projections and calculate that they could arrive to offer almost 4,000 armchairs and to attract between 160,000 and 200,000 spectators, bases similar to the Festival of San Sebastián.
