Ibiza : The Govern animates to the immigrants to register
In Ibiza and the rest of the Baleares the initiative, equipped with 60,000 euros, tries to inform into the advantages to register in the register Conselleria Balearic of Immigration, that Cooperation will carry out in April and May a information campaign with which it will animate the immigrants to register themselfs in its city councils to defend their rights, in an initiative to which 60,000 euros will destine .
The consellera of Immigration, Encarana pastor, explained in the press conference that the campaign, under the motto ` you do not resign to your rights: Register in your ayuntamiento´, will be made in Ibiza and the other islands and will suppose the diffusion of this message by means of posters and radio.
This initiative also will suppose the distribution of 10,000 pamphlets in Spanish, Catalan, English, German, French, Arab, Bulgarian, Chinese, Russian and Rumanian, the ten spoken languages more in the islands.
Pastor exposed that the beginning of this promotion obeys to the changes derived from the modification of the state Law of Bases of the Local Regime by which commits the city councils to register to those noncommunitarian immigrants who have not updated their data in a period of two years. The consellera of Immigration explained that with this it also tried that the foreign citizens "lose the fear" to fulfill this requirement and that they understand "to register themself does not mean to file themself", so that they get their rights and remain registered in the city councils, as they are those of health, education, house or public transport. Also, Pastor indicated that the recent modification of the Autonomic Plan of House, decided by the Consell de Govern the past Friday, by which the population extends itself object of these aids to noncommunitarian the foreign citizens, will benefit 82,627 citizens in Ibiza and the rest of Baleares. On the other hand, the consellera indicated that the autonomic rules has been modified that regulates the Forum of Immigration to include to the Main directorate of Linguistic Policy and the Balearic Institute of the Woman between its members. The chief of a main directorate of Immigration, Juan Manuel Gomez, exposed that this modification is a proposal that takes effective control of the Forum of the previous legislature.
