" We arrived at this Hotel under the impression that from the description by low cost holidays and the reviews by the Hotel, that this was ideal for families and couples..This Hotel is in the middle of no where and is full of young, loud groups that showed no consideration for the families that were there. about 4. Certain staff that were on reception were very unfriendly..We were half board and i would not recomend anyone go for this option the dining area is no way like the picture on the web site that part was closed off and had beer barrels in it.and the food, this was very poor, although my words at the time was bad. breakfast was till 10am and eve meal was till 9 if you were prob 10 mins before that you would be made to feel uncomfortable by being watched and on the dot they would clear the food away even if you were still serving yourself. on one occasion we were told to get it and take it to our rooms as they were finnished. Most days they reused the breakfast food left over for the evening buffet, which was usually some suspect looking meat or fish..they did not cater for children. Many occasions we went out to eat even though we had spent 1800 on half board for the 5 of us. So to summerise.if you are a family do NOT entertain this Hotel. it is miles away from any shops, and any civilization, the food is shocking.. and you will not get any rest from the partying that is going on from the groups of men and women. But appart from that.the pool was ok..although it dos state a jacuzzi..this is a smelly pool that could fit your 2 five year olds in if your lucky.... "

" very basic is being generous,4 of us stayed there for 5 days,there was 1 glass and filthy crockery, no air con, a tv that didn't work and the "hotel" was a good half hour hike (uphill on the way back) into san antonio bay. taxi's from the "hotel" charged between 4.25-4.95 euro's before we even got in, and then the rest. Impossible to walk into town at night as there were no street lights, a very dodgy place to stay and none of us felt safe to walk the road at night. We all called it Beiruit!!!! ... "

" Estubimos 10 dias y fueron una pesadilla!! cuando no funcionaba la cisterna, no nos hacian la habitacion... la limpieza brillaba por su ausencia, la cama olia a sudor, las toallas estaban sucias,por no hablar de la capa de grasa q se acumulaba en el office!! del comedor mejor no hablar, ya q la variedad era limitadisima por no decir nula. En fin q si me pierdo q no m busquen alli!!... "

" I found this hotel clean, well equiped and very good value for money. The bar food was good, the air-con workrd perfectly, new sun-beds arrived two days after we got there. We had a one bed appartment on the third floor with good vieus from the balcony. I felt my teenage daughters were safe walking the short walk into the Bay, and taxi's were easy to get in San Antonio town. There were large groups of single young people but any drinking was always good natured and not too loud.I took myself off to a beautiful beach via the local bus for a quiet day out.... "

" First impression of the hotel was great. On arrival the receptionist was polite and the apartment spotless. The housekeeping staff was also very polite. . The pool was great. We were there every day sunbathing. The rooms were clean and the cleaners was coming around daily. Overall the holiday and the hotel were fantastic, probably I will return there next summer!... "

" hemos estado 4 dias, todavia estoy esperando a que limpien la habitacion. Las sabanas sucias ..manchas de sangre...manchas amarillas.....no teniamos almohadas para todos,ni toallas, ni sabanas, y no tenian de repuesto, no cumplen las normas minimas de higiene., la cisterna no funcionaba....El recepcionista me dijo q por ley las habitaciones se limpian todos los dias..pero bueno, q se hacia lo que se podia... como se puede tener tanta cara,,, no han ido ni 1 dia a limpiar, esta la misma porqueria q estaba cuadno llegamos.. ya sabes que vas a un sitio sencillo, pero eso no significa q tenga q estar tan sucio que te de asco hasta sentarte en una silla...al irnos hemos pedido el libro de reclamaciones, y para nuestra sorpresa no le quedaban hojas libres. QUE VERGUENZA DE APARTAHOTEL SE MERECE QUE LO DENUNCIEN y sanidad haga una inspeccion.....Q ASCOOOO... "

" this hotel is an utter nightmare,substandard in hygeine,food cold & inedible,spent 2 days eating out away from the hotel until we were transfered to another owned by the same group.stay here at your peril.we gave this hotel a 1 star rating only because the ratings do not start at zero... "

" We have just returned, 5th July 08, from this hotel and it has certainly changed from ten years ago. Room was clean but fairly basic but food really let it down. Having booked half board it was a continuous round of chicken, fish, or pasta for evening meal and bacon, sausage, bread for breakfast. All food was always luke warm or cold even if you arrived at the start of the buffet. A real shame as this hotel could be very nice. Very popular with groups of singles and stag parties which doesn't make it a restful place to stay. If this was your first visit to Ibiza it would definitely put you off going again which is a terrible shame as Ibiza is a lovely island with spectacular beaches and sunsets. Having visited Ibiza many times in the last twenty two years I won't let this experience put us off.... "

" arrived at 02:30am to be told no room till 9am go out into town,so i did. came back 9am still no room waited till 11:45am before they gave me a room!!! room on lower floor crap balcony no view!! walls really thin hear everything!!a couple of people staying at hotel had stuff stolen! but I didnt!people on reception not very helpful. no onsite shop. food and bar area and pool was good!!August 09... " This hotel is terrible. No one who worked there seemed to have their heart set on their job, but what do you expect, the hotel is aimed at being a cesspool for british young males and females that have no respect for others. The TV didn't work. Don't take the half or full board option. The coffee is made with the saline tainted water, its vile. The orange is made from powder (and the same water). Waste of money. Journey to the beach is downhill and straight forward, bit more than 450 Mts. In the dark, shy families may not be so keen to walk up the unlit road. Shower terrible. More of a dribble. Awful hotel. First visit to Ibiza and this totally put me off going again.... "

" i just returned from my holiday in monterrey appartment ibiza and the service was not up to standards we were put in a room that only i can describe is a dungeon there wasnt any cleaners for the whole week that i was there,we had to walk miles to any amenities there was no entertainment atall,there were youngsters breaking in to people's rooms and turning the place over as they were drunk and disorderly. bottles bein thrown off the balconies on to our patio we had complained several times to the receptionist but nothing was done.i can only say that this is the hotel from hell.we was also scared for our lives for the time we were there as there was alot of fighting going on and smashed bottles chucked all over the place.we hoped for a family holiday but it was the worst 1 ever because we got the hotel from hell.i also cant believe the youngsters were bein sick in the pool and there was children also swimming in the pool.... "

" I found the Monterrey an amusing experience back in 2002. One incident which encluded a long haired and wiled eyed young reveller trying to escape to a taxi carrying, believe it or not, a fire extinguisher under his t-shirt sticks out the most in my (open) mind. the young hooligan was restled to the ground by a crazy looking man i later found out to be the porter. A long debate ensued to the detrament of this would be safety thief.The outcome was a slap on the rist (and face) by the gardia saville. This however is not the reason i will never return. No aircon. 500 Yo Yos going missing from our aptment and the pool is like a scene from Battle Royale. Thank You and Goodnight.... "

" having read the reviews after booking this holiday was more than a little worried. as i had two children aged 9 and 13 and my friend had three children 10,13 and 16 + the wives.everything turned out fine rooms cleaned every day hotel staff freindly yes lots of groups of young people and could sometimes be a little noisey at night(but if you can mind you were young once not a proplem).overall enjoyed or stay and cant complain for what we paid good value.... "

" possibly the worst hotel i have ever visited. When we arrived there were people hanging out of doors screaming down corridors at half 2 in the morning and it carrys on all night long. being young i can usualy cope with this but i felt it was far to unsafe for me and my girlfriend. We checked in and went to our room where we found a rusty shower, pubic hairs all over the bathroom, a filthy sink for the kitchen and to top it off stained underwear on the balcony! the receptionist was not to bothered about this and wouldnt even move me to another room! i told him i was checking out and going to another hotel for the week so i was told to return in the morning to see a manager, suprise suprise when i returned i was told he did not know where the manager was or how long he would be so i spent the rest of the week in another hotel costing ME more money! i would not reccomend this hotel for couples, familys and even clubbers!! the rooms look nothing like the pictures, all the information is a pack of lies AVOID!!!... "

" The hotel was basic but clean which is the main thing, although the people skills of the "manager" leaves a lot to be desired, she is very unaproachable, unhelpful the list goes on - i firmly believe if she does not wish to deal with the public then why run a hotel!! Other than the the other staff were fantastic and i did enjoy my stay.... "

" When you read a negative review and think, 'It cant be that bad'... Think again. We booked with Xcapewithus, they didn't even pass on the booking information. They gave us the wrong remote for the air con. The water is salted, the showers dire. The noise from Clubbers is dire, and when i say dire, If your a family, This hotel isn't for you, not even slightly do not consider. If your a quiet group wanting a cheap break, do not consider, if you simply want to get smashed in san antonio, come back to the hotel, throw pasta, play knock a door run till 6 am until you pass out, then this hotel is for you. For all you childish british adolescent alcoholic's that simply want to breed and spread chlamydia, this is your ideal hotel. ... "

" The apartments were very basic but clean, my only complaints would be was that housekeeping never made the beds unless the sheets were being changed and the street lighting on the walk home was very poor. Was very dubious about my holiday after reading various reviews online but had a great time. There was a lot of young people there having fun and making a lot of noise so if you have no patience then don't go, but they entertained myself and my group and after all it is the party island of Ibiza. Reception staff were polite and helpful. ... "

" I am really upset because when we arrived in San Antonia the taxi driver took us to the monterrey hotel but it was CLOSE D. I explained i would arrive at 22.00 hours and was informed of a 24 hour reception. Thankfully for the wonderfl staff of the Xalou apartments who looked after us for the 3 night trip otherwise we had nowhere to stay. Nobody from ibiza hotels contacted us to inform us that the hotel wasnt open which i find apalling.it did put us in a sour note becuase we did becuase stressed out from the situation. Im not sure i will use ibiza hotels again and wouldnt recommed them to anyone. We travel all over the place aswell. Regards Lee... "
