Apart from the market stands, there will be street shows of jugglers,
medieval music, sword fight re-enactments, falconry demonstrations,
heraldic parades and demonstrations of Ibiza handcrafts that have not changed in all these centuries..
Like last year, over 130,000 people are expected to attend.
This year the festival will get off with a BIG BOOM...firing of canons and a mock assault of the fortress!

The Medieval Festival of Ibiza Town will take place May 11th-14th, 2005 within the Medieval walls of Ibiza´s ancient hilltop fortress.
There are many places in Spain which would lend an authentic Medieval atmosphere
to such an event, but Ibiza Town is probably the perfect place. Not only
because of its' XVI century walls and buildings, but also because of Ibiza´s
medieval history.

Christians and Jews all lived here.
And this festival actually gives you the feeling of how it could have been
7 centuries ago.
