we stayed at this hotel but had little sleep the travel agent told us it was a family hotel !!! this is a nice place to stay if it was used by families only we had a room near the stairs and from 1 30 am till about 4.00am you had all the 18/30 year olds returning from the night clubs the hotel is l shaped with a heavy fire door from stairs to room 41 to 50 on all floors the had nothing to stop it from slamming most of the young clobbers where in these rooms so every 5 minutes this door bangs so no sleep at all !! one of the days a group of teen lads got very drunk by the pool one lad got pushed in by his mates and was sick all in the pool after they moved to another part of the pool they was going down the slide when they pulled of one lads swimming trunks although the area was full of young children the hotel did remove the group from the pool and put on a worming there was only one bar staff at the pool bar and he never said a thing to any one that was to drunk or too loud the rest of the hotel was good nice and clean with good staff food was 50/50 if they was to only allow families then i would return but i do need sleep ...

This hotel was brilliant for what we wanted safe place AI close to the sea/Shops etc for grandma and 2 grandchildren.
Its not for the clubbing crowd if you are after a club 18- 30 holiday you need San Antonio town and not the Bay which is where this hotel is.
Its great Hotel for families with everything on site.
I would recommend to anyone wanting family fun, the Hotel is clean, Pool area cleaned twice a day(pool has 2 slides), Rooms cleaned daily, Towels changed daily if needed, Staff friendly and helpful, Food was great with pent of choice(even if it did get a bit same by the end of 2 wks) snacks available from 10.30 until 6.30 (Burgers, chips etc) so good if you miss a meal, Drinks were served in plastic cups but its safer that way with lots of kids around.
Kids and Granny had a great time with the animation team, The shows we ok lots of fun for everyone.
This Hotel is a must for families, would certainly return again...

My wife & myself originally booked to stay at the nearby Hawaii Hotel on a half board basis only to be told when we arrived that hotel at 2.30 in the morning was overbooked & arrangements were made for us to stay at Mar Amantis instead, & in a way of compensation our booking was upgraded to all inclusive. The upgrade cheered us both up & saved us literary hundreds of Euros that we otherwise would have spent on our food & drinks!
Our room was average but clean enough & the bed linen smelt really fresh. Air con, room service & satellite TV were also included free of charge! The maids would always greet you & worked hard, they would change the bed linen & towels everyday unless you asked them not to. The only downfall of the rooms are the very cheap & inferior partitioning walls, & from further inspection it seemed like there is only 2 pieces of plasterboard that separates each room. You can hear next doors conversations &…. erm…activities… as clear as if they were in the same room!!
Very generous measures of spirits were poured in the bar area by Paco, Francisco, Diana, & Gloria who were also always there to help, they were entertaining, good at their job & worked solidly from approx 10 am till 12pm! 10 out of 10 for the bar staff. We made some great friends in the bar area.
We were also extremely impressed by the vast amount of choice & quality of the food at Breakfast, lunch, & evening meals, I would say that the food was near 4 star quality as it always looked well garnished & tasted fantastic! The puddings were a little disappointing though.
The unusual looking pumped up Collagen lipped “Pete Burns” Spanish barmaid in the restaurant area was arrogant, rude & very slow to serve customers.
The 3 swimming pools looked clean & there were plenty of sun beds to go round without having to reserve your bed early in the morning with a towel. Sometimes the previous days ashtrays, leftover drinks & food by the pool are were not cleaned away until late morning, but it got done in the end.
They was a massive influx of Spanish over 60’s pensioners also staying at the hotel, during our stay, & in some other reviews I have read regarding this hotel, that they seemed to get preferential service at the bar area with bottles of beer & glasses & proper cups for their coffee instead of our disposable plastic cups for any drinks we asked for. This is because they had to pay for their drinks & we didn’t. We did not have a problem with this, but I must admit that the majority of the Spanish residents at the hotel came across as very rude & arrogant, & that we were 2nd class citizens! The British holidaymakers at this hotel definitely had more manners & respect.
A half hour walk along the bay took you to San Antonio town which was beautiful with lots of palm trees & smart bay packed full of different sized boats, however, over half the shops were shut as it was nearly the end of the holiday season.
Alternatively, on sunny days only, a taxi ferry boat would arrive every half hour directly at Mar Amantis, & for only 2 Euros each it would take you across the water to San Antonio. We used this & it was well worth 2 Euros.
Lastly, I cannot end this review without mentioning Daniel the “Entertainment” rep.
I have been & stayed at numerous holiday resort complexes in the UK & overseas over many years as a professional DJ Entertainer, & in my opinion Daniel was the worst I have ever come across. He did absolutely nothing to keep anyone entertained when the weather was bad for almost 2 days. There were lots of kids there as it was the half term hols for most families & the kids should have been his number1 priority but they were very bored & so were the rest of us!. The impression Daniel gave everyone we spoke to was that he need a “kick-start” & almost everything he did was half hearted, he seemed like he was eager to go home & could not be bothered.
If it wasn’t for the poor quality of entertainment, & the rude Spanish pensioners connected with this hotel, the Mar Amantis would have got 10/10.
We hope this review will be of some use to anyone who is thinking of staying here in the future.

Excellent food all day, noisy at night but you expect that in Ibiza. Pool area was full of adults getting drunk so spent all week at the beach. Rooms were cleaned, towels replaced and beds made everyday by cleaning staff. Overall, I would definitely go back ...

The hotel is lovely, great value for money, staff are extremely kind and VERY helpful, they all remembered me on my second visit which was very nice. The rooms are nice, very clean, fresh bedding and towels etc. Overall experience was excellent and i am in the process of booking my 3rd trip there for July this year and can't wait. The facilities of the hotel were great and the staff was friendly. It is an easily affordable hotel and not over priced. The room we booked was clean and had a terrace where we enjoyed drinks during the nights. It is a nice accommodation truly. The hotel also offered good food which we never tasted before. The hotel is situated in a lovely location. It is easy accessible to the prime locations of the island. We hired the water taxi to explore the beauty of San Antonio. We went out to shop clothes and take food in the restaurants that served delicious cuisines at reasonable price. The swimming pool was well designed. We went to the peer where I also spend few time fishing. Overall I would like to recommend this hotel. ...

If you seek poor service, long queues for drinks. rowdy behaviour, constant foul language, in short a holiday from hell then this is THE place for you. The notice close to the lift entrance clearly stating that bad behaviour will not be tolerated ought to raise your alarm bells....

It is a beautiful hotel well furnished and clean. The room I booked was also good and had a terrace where I enjoyed the fascinating views of the sea and island. A nice old aged staff came every morning to clean my room. He smiled gently whenever he looked at me. The food of the hotel served was new to me and so I found the flavour quiet odd. But I am sure a connoisseur would definitely enjoy its taste. It served many cuisines that I have never seen in my life but I think that all would taste great. The great advantage of staying at this hotel is that it is in the centre of the island and you can easily get a taxi to explore the island. I enjoyed the awesome beauty of the island. Whatsoever my holiday was a good one. ...

a most enjoyable stay, the location was ideal, right next to beach and jetty for water taxi, the rooms were very clean, maids changed towels every day,the pools were lovely, the food was very good, plenty of choice, didn’t mind the plastic drinks glasses too much, plenty of drinks choice too, and fabulous measures! most of the staff were helpful and friendly, with the exception of the blonde in the restaurant/pool bar, she was a little rude, and a little lazy-did not use machine when asked for espresso, just poured from filter jug, ugh! entertainment was fun too loads of audience involvement. not sure if i would return as i prefer other parts of island but would recommend....
