The XVIII Annual IBIZA FESTIVAL of JAZZ starts on July 27th and will run for 3 days until 29 July-2006. Place: The Balua The concerts start at 22:00 hrs. (10:00 PM). The organizers have scheduled some of top new Jazz bands and soloists for this years performances, with an accent on Latin Jazz
This years Jazz concerts have not been organzed without political conflict..... See below*... The Consell Insular withdrew their support, some feel becuause of the fact that the opposing Socialist Party won the last Ibiza elections. In any case, SANDRA MAYANS the councilor for youth in the city of Ibiza, charged the Consell Insular with falsely claiming that they were contributing to the event. And the City if Ibiza decided to 'go it alone' with their support for this famous island event. | |
