FORESEABLE POLITICAL OFFICE CHANGES IN THE May 2007 elections on Ibiza :
In Ibiza Town:
Because of the fact that Sr. Tarrés is not re- running for the office of Mayor of Ibiza, but the office of President of the Consell of Eivissa y Formentera , he
is not likely to be in this office after the next elections.
His party the Pacto Progresista , a collection of smaller liberal and independant parties, has recently suffered from internal disputes over who should be the NEW candidate for Mayor of Ibiza.
The most probable new candidate will be: Lourdes Costa, his popular and competent councilwoman for cultural events.

In Santa Eulalia:
With his acceptance of the nomination for the office of Mayor of Santa Eulalia by the Partido Popular, the former city accountant, and business consultant,

Vicentí Marí , will most probably be the new Mayor of Santa Eulalia.
Vicente Marí has over 15 years experience in managing the financing of the town, is highly popluar amongst the citiizenry, and has a Masters in municipal administration.

He promises an almost totally new cabinet, consisting of much younger candidates, and a very ambitious
plan of development for the community of Santa Eulalia, which includes inhanced programs for young people, and many improvements to infrastructures such as roads, public transportation, public parking as well as sports and leisure time activities.
