On Ibiza Palm trees do not grow naturaly but they have been planted all over the island.
There number of shops that sell fully grown palm trees. There is also a growing market of fully grown olive trees that are hundreds of years old. Some are even a amazing 1000 years !!!
These olive trees can be found all over the island and the farmers do not use them at all since tourism has completely taken over the economy of Ibiza. Then come a few rich tourist and say hey one of those 1000 year old olive tree would look great in my mansion and they but them for alot of money.
Some areas of spain this new fashion of old olive trees has made people worie for people completely buing them out till the last one of them and it will take you 1000 years to get a fully grown olive tree back.

The best place to stay to be in the midle of this party is JET completely sarounded by palm trees.
