Formentera Playa
LOCATION
Boasting the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute’s "Q" for Quality and the ISO 9001,ISO 14001 International Environmental Management standard and located in the centre of Formentera’s magnificent Migjorn beach, Insotel Club Formentera Playa offers a fully air conditioned complex made up of a central building and a number of studios. A regular bus service is available in the area.
SERVICES AND FACILITIES
The hotel Insotel Club Formentar Playa has a reception area with Internet access, Wi-Fi Internet access (extra charge) in rooms, public areas, and on the beach, medical service, minimarket, 2 outdoor swimming pools, indoor heated pool (up to june 15 & from 15 september), , a pool bar, lounge bar, gardens, sun beds and parasols, and a towel service (with deposit), as well as a Gym, Beauty Centre, and motorbike and car rental service. The hotel moreover offers its guests the Insotel Card, which, available on request at reception, is designed for use as the only method of payment for hotel facilities and services.
SOUTH BEACH CLUB Exclusive Restaurant & Lounge
This restaurant is located in a singular spot directly on the beach, next to the sea. Our restaurant offers the freshest market products of the Mediterranean, international and Asian cuisines, with exquisite sushi dishes prepared on the spot.
At the Beach Bar, guests will enjoy the finest selection of cocktails and snacks, with the very best chill-out music and weekly events. Other services include daybeds, sun loungers, towel service, massage, boutique, sailing school, diving centre and Wi-Fi area (extra charge), among others.
The South Beach Club is also the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing day in an exclusive environment and to celebrate all sorts of events and celebrations.
ACCOMMODATION
Lux Superior Double Sea View
Bright rooms totally refurbished in a modern and elegant style with a side view of the Mediterranean Sea and located in a privileged area of the hotel. Fully prepared with "comfort" king size bed (2x2m) or 2 single beds "comfort" (1x2m). air conditioning, Satellite TV LCD 32" with music channels, WIFI Internet connection (with charge), safety deposit box (with charge), minibar, complete bathroom with hairdryer,magnifying mirror, and balcony. The following exclusive services are also included: Late check out until 15:00 (On request and subject to avaibility), selection of welcome products, bathrobes, slippers, evening turndown service, and customers are treated on arrival to our Insotel Welcome Pack of a fruit basket and "cava". There is the possibility of communicating double rooms.
Lux Double
Bright rooms totally refurbished in a modern and elegant style and located in a privileged area of the complex. Fully prepared with 2 single beds "comfort" (0.90 m x 2.00 m). air conditioning, Satellite TV LCD 26" with music channels, WIFI Internet connection (with charge), safety deposit box (with charge), minibar, complete bathroom with hairdryer and magnifying mirror, and balcony or terrace. The following exclusive services are also included: Late check out until 15:00 (On rquest and subjet to the avaibility), Children between the ages of 4 and 11 receive the Insi Surprise Pack.
Studio
The Studios are fully renovated and have air conditioning, 2 beds and a sofa (2 single beds), telephone, Satellite TV with music channel, WIFI Internet connection (extra charge), safety deposit box (extra charge), a complete bathroom with hairdryer, kitchenette with electric cooker and fridge, balcony or terrace.
RESTAURANTS
The Club offers a wide assortment of dishes in its restaurants.
The Main Buffet Restaurant is smoke free, fully air-conditioned and offers a buffet service with show cooking. Guests are asked to observe the dress code for dinner.
The South Beach Club Restaurant (*), located directly on the beach, offers the freshest market ingredients of the Mediterranean, international and Asian cuisines, with exquisite sushi dishes prepared on the spot.
BARS
Pool Bar. With striking views of the Mediterranean, this bar offers a wide-ranging menu of juices, smoothies, cocktails, snacks and appetisers.
South Beach Club is an exclusive Beach Bar (*) located on the beach, where guests will enjoy the best selection of cocktails and snacks, coffees, juices, smoothies, ice creams and appetisers.
Lounge Bar, with air conditioning, offers a menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, juices and appetisers, and has a stage for entertainment.
SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES
The unbeatable location of the complex on the seafront at Migjorn Beach makes this the ideal place to enjoy a wide range of water sports. To discover the crystal-clear waters of Formentera, we offer our guests the use of catamarans, canoes and windsurfing boards (Extra charge) (special qualifications may be required for certain activities, with the exception of the canoes). What’s more, we also have a diving school and a sailing school that offers windsurfing and catamaran classes (both with an extra charge).
In addition, Club guests can enjoy the following sports free of charge: tennis (2 courts, one on artificial turf and an extra charge for lights), mountain biking, water polo, archery, carbine shooting, volleyball, water polo, table tennis aerobics, aqua gym, stretching and sports tournaments.
HEALTH AND BEAUTY
Beauty Centre with cosmetics, massage and hair salon services, among others, with extra charge.
Fitness Centre- with indoor heated pool (–Up to june 15 from 15 september-), and Gym.
ENTERTAINMENT- INSOTEL TEAM
The INSOTEL TEAM offers a wide-ranging entertainment programme both day and night for guests of all ages, including sports activities, Latin dance lessons, Spanish classes, shows, competitions and much more.
CHILDREN
To make sure that the little ones enjoy an unforgettable holiday, the Club has swimming pools for children, a multiple-activity playground and an entertainment schedule with a wide variety of activities and games led by a great team of professionals and accompanied by our mascot INSI.
Moreover, a microwave is available in the main restaurant.
And for the youngest guests, we offer the Insotel Baby Service (extra charge), which includes prams, baby alarms, bottle warmers, nappy bins and high chairs for the room. The Insotel Baby Service (with advance reservation) is free to guests of Superior Sea View Double Rooms.

horrible,filthy place. do not stay here! me and 3 other girlfrends stayed for a week at the end of july.we arrived early hours of the morning to be told ther was no room for us,then after an hour we got a key from the man at reception who understood no english.as we walked into our room we found it in a complete state, it had not been cleaned and it looked as though people wer still staying in it. we had to clean the apartment ourselves and change all the beddings and we not recieve any kind of apology for this.also when we checked in, a group of lads had the same problem as us that they had been told there was no room for them and they had to go and sleep on the beach and come back in the afternoon.2 other girls didnt get a room either and they told me they got put in a taxi to the west end to an apartment for the night,they was told the room had been payed on for them but as they went to leave in the morning the receptionist threatened to call the police,demanding money off them.After a day or two around the tiny pool with about 3 sunloungers, it became clear that we had chosen the wrong hotel as everyone who was staying here had to deal with the same problems as us,and when you have been looking forward to your holiday all year its a major disapointment when you have to stay in this hotel.may i also add that the hotel pictured on this site is not the formentera, the formentera is the hotel behing which you cannot see and i dont understand how they have got away with advertising for a hotel that you will not be staying in! be warned, do not stay in the formentera!!!!!...

Please if you take one piece of advice in your life, heed this one... do not stay at this hotel, it will ruin your holiday, the staff are incompetent, the food is absolutely disgusting causing me and my partner food sickness 4days out of 7, there are cockroaches, the rooms are minute, the beds are uncomfortable and the air conditioning does not work!!i seriously reccommend that you stay somewhere like costa mar, or chaumonix...do not stay here!!...

wouldnt recommend Formentera apartments for anyone. when we first got there two girls warned us that they had had everything robbed including their toothbrushes. hotel staff were not helpful AT ALL. there was also a fire in the room next door to us but all the fire exits were bolted closed. funny enough the next day when the reports about the fire were being done all the fire exits were now open. its very noisy and you won't feel safe. however, great location. so get a hotel near here just not this one. ...

it was a very nice hotel with great insotel team, especially Richard (richy) and Marko who was the main man for the entertainment, which was very good in my opinion. a wide range of activities to do during the day which were very good fun indeeed.
overall a very good hotel with good ammeanties....
