The new designs are a homage to the ‘Isla Blanca’, the white island

Ibiza childrenÅLs fashion
Mom likes her children to dress well. And the kids love looking hip. On Ibiza there are fashion designers that specialise in creating and producing stylish clothing for kids. ‘Zarabanda’ is one of the leaders of those firms where the trend ‘chic for kids’ is already moving into the next season.

José Manuel Pego, boss of ‘Zarabanda’ introduced his new line of children’s fashion at a photo shoot in the harbour of Ibiza Nueva. The Andalusian fashion designer has named his summer collection 2004 ‘Zarabanda Saludable’. The photo shoot also served as a goodbye to two of his models who have been posing at Moda Adlib galas and photo sessions for several years. Aida Gómez and Sonia Reinado, who in the meantime have become lovely young women, will no longer be a part of the group who have brought José Manuel’s children’s fashion onto the scene.
It was a jolly afternoon for the kids and their parents. The little mod-els obviously felt quite comfortable in the light children’s fashion and had an excellent time. The fathers present captured it all on video, proud mothers arranged curls and pulled the little dresses into place while photographer Alberto Drew snapped photos of it all.
José Manuel Pego’s style is an informal look. His kid’s fashion is made of fine cotton fabric, and the colour white dominates. It is his personal homage to Ibiza, ‘Isla Blanca – The White Island’. “Fashion for children must, above all, be comfortable to wear. Additionally it should look good even after it has been washed many times,” says the fashion designer.
The designer also retains the pure Adlib style. The skirts remind one of traditional Ibicencan costumes. And the hippy touch cannot be missed along with the valances, peaks and embroidery. As other fashion designers chase after the newest styles, José Manuel Pego values traditions.
Thus his style has changed very little over the years, but the workmanship of his creations is continuously improved. Contact the designer: Tel: 971 390971 or Mobile: 686 193675Captions:
