ACCESS: 4 kms down
the road to the Canal, make a right and go towards the salt piles,
following the posted directions to the beach.
TRANSPORTATION: By
car or by bicycle. There is a bus line stopping at the road towards
the Canal. Walk from there to the beach.
DISTANCES: 9.5 km
from Ibiza and 24.5 km from Sant Josep de sa Talaia.
DESCRIPTION: Long,
open beach made of rolling stones.
LENGTH: 2.9 km.
WIDTH: About 15 m
TERRAIN: Rolling stones
all along the beach, with multiple rocky areas at one end.
DEPTH: Rolling stones
on the shoreline and sandy seabeds with sea vegetation. This
is a deeper beach, especially at first. At 25m from the shoreline,
it is close to one meter deep, and reaching 1.7m deep at 50m
from the shoreline.
ORIENTATION AND PREDOMINANT WINDS:
Its Western exposure produces strong winds, since it is not the
typical summer wind.
SCENERY: The closeness
to the salt mine ponds of las Salinas gives this beach a special
beauty. Also note the view from the cliffs at the cape Cap des
Falco on one of the end the beach.
