The hotel, a reformed palace built in the XVII century situated high up in the old quarter amidst steps and millenial walls, offers from its windows and terraces a spectacular view of the port of Ibiza, former moorings of the Corsarian fleet. Framed this port over a background of mountains and countryside dotted with small white spots which we can imagine to be the age old arquitecture of it's country homes. |
It's name evokes the ancient flavour of those mythical families, owners of an age old heritage bathed by the Mediterranean which has transported them in its emerald waves to the Pitiusas. These families of Corsairs through whose blood flows the ideas of Athens and Macedonia, the commerce of Cartago and the structure of the Roman world and to whom the town of Ibiza has erected a monument in memory of their exploits. |
